TonksGreen have been wow-ing public audiences and garnering industry respect since bursting onto the scene in 2005 as a riveting modern day 70’s supergroup duo. An eclectic yet always identifiable sound - at times fat and pumping but also revealing moments of folksy intimacy.
Matt Tonk’s creamy vocals, unique guitar style combine with Syd Green’s laid back yet passionate delivery on drums and dobro breathe magic into luminous songs.
This dynamic duo were named Alternative Artist of the Year at the 2006 Musicoz Awards and were invited back to present and perform a song off their new album at the 2007 Musicoz Awards that was televised nationally on Foxtel. read more...

The anticipated 2nd album has been recorded and produced by Syd & Matt at Big Jesus Burger and Mononest studios, Sydney , and awaits release in the near future. With much of the album tracked live in the studio, the new songs have an organic, visceral character closer to the rootsy TonksGreen live sound.
